What's Isoflavone

Action similar to weak female hormone

Isoflavones have a weak female hormone-like action, so is also termed 'phyto-estrogene'.
Isoflavones have a binding affinity to estrogen receptor and the chemical structure is also similar to that of the female hormone, therefore it is considered to function in the place of estrogen.
As the affinity of isoflavones for estrogen receptors is considered to be from about one thousandth to one ten-thousandth, it is a safe substance which works gently on the human body. The acute toxicity test performed by us for assurance revealed no mortality among mice after the maximum possible dosage by oral administration, and no abnormality in weight nor in any internal organ was observed.
