Fujicco participated in a WHO CARDIAC Study to investigate the functions of isoflavones

In order to study the effectiveness of isoflavones on health, FUJICCO participated in the WHO CARDIAC Study* (1995~2000) and sent researchers to many places including Okinawa, Hawaii, Brazil, China, Tanzania and Scotland, conducting many intervention studies.
This Study was started in 1985 to research health factors in regions of the world noted for long or short human life spans. Under the guidance of Dr. Yukio Yamori (Professor Emeritus, Kyoto University), 60 regions of 25 countries in the world were examined by the year 2000 achieving excellent results. Researches and studies of the same nature are still continuing as the WHO CARDIAC/MONARIZA Study. FUJICCO is also cooperating with this activity.
