In Soybean eating areas, the mortality rate from Ischemic Heart Diseases is low

In order to examine the relation between CVD and isoflavones, researches were conducted in 14 regions of 10 countries where WHO CARDIAC Study was carried out and an age-adjusted mortality rate was established. The mortality rate from ischemic heart diseases and the 24-hour urinary isoflavones excretion were examined. The results show a reverse correlation as in the figure. In the regions where the intake of isoflavones is greater, the mortality rate is lower. We were the first in the world to prove this correlation.
