A hypothesis of Isoflavones' Blood Pressure Reducing Mechanism was presented

The detailed mechanism of isoflavones' blood pressure reducing function has not yet been made clear to the full extent. Fujicco, therefore, has conducted a joint study with WHO Collaborating Center for Research on Primary Prevention of Cardiovascular Diseases.
As a result of examination using endothelial cells from SHRSP chest aorta, it was confirmed that isoflavones induced eNOS expression that is related to the expansion of blood vessels, and also confirmed that isoflavones significantly inhibited endothelin-1 production that has a blood vessel contraction effect. It is considered this explains a part of isoflavones' blood pressure reducing mechanism.
