Isoflavones reduce Serum Cholesterol

It is known that when menopause starts, along with blood pressure, the serum cholesterol becomes higher. We have conducted intervention studies and confirmed that isoflavones reduced cholesterol.
As a result of an experiment in which Brazilian Japanese women ingested 50mg isoflavones daily for 3 weeks, the cholesterol value of those with hypercholesterolemia higher than 220mg/dL before ingestion was reduced by an average of 32mg/dL. Similar results were confirmed for Japanese women.
