Isoflavones are expected to be effective for suppression of Body Fat Accumulation

WHO warn that 'Another form of Malnutrition', obesity is now widespread world wide including in the developing countries. The number of obese people exceeds 1,000 million now. This situation is termed 'globesity' or Global Obesity.
Even in Japan where the people were once referred to as the 'lean Japanese', the number of people in their 40's with over BMI 25 is more than 34%. As for the metabolic syndrome among the adults, the number of sufferers is 9.2 million and another 9.8 million are approaching obesity. Therefore there is an estimated 19 million people with metabolic syndrome condition (National Health and Nutrition Survey 2006). As a measure to deal with the situation, a 'Specific Medical Examination' and a Lifestyle Guidance Program has been started.
As reported earlier under 'Bone Health', isoflavones are regarded to show significant effect on the change of the trunk fat ratio which includes much of visceral fat, of which the mechanism of work on their fat cells is now going to be made clear.
