Isoflavones reduce Abdominal Fat --- Obesity prevention expected

OVX rats tend to build up fat in the abdominal region, but it was confirmed that when isoflavones were administered to the rats, the building up of the fat was reduced. It is expected the same may be effective for the prevention of human obesity.
Actually, in the case of rats orally administered 50mg/kg of daidzin, genistin and glycitin for four weeks, the increase of liver fat, body weight, serum cholesterol, triglyceride in addition to abdominal fat were significantly reduced. This change was not observed by genistin, while the effect was confirmed by daidzin and glycitin richly contained in Fujiflavone.
