Animal Study
Fujicco succeeded in separating 12 substances of Soybean isoflavones in 1993.
After administering 50mg/kg-body weight of Daidzin and Genistin to ovariectomized (OVX) rats for four weeks, it was confirmed that the bone density was significantly higher in the isoflavone groups than control group.
In the case of past studies, crude extracts containing isoflavones were used where the independent
effectiveness of Daidzin or Genistin was not possible to determine. It is therefore regarded to be the first experiment in the world to study the effectiveness of each single substance separately.
